    The Foolish Imbecile

    Turn now to April

The winds of March will subside

    May’s a page away

    I will fool myself

    Tricks performed every day

    Thought I could do that

I think the computer missed the boat with those…well, one of us did.

Oh, gee whitakers! I heard this song on the way home last night,

and that’s why this foolish little ditty is here. Def Leppard, “Foolin”

“Is anybody out there?” Let us not go madly into this silly day.

        With friends like you, Ed…yo!

This is a foolish herd, and my cat don’t corral.

Yeah, we get a few silent strays here and there, but

just as quickly they mooooove on. Giddy up, cowboy!

Karma is the name of that black and white bull over yonder.

So what color is your cape, and have you got the hips to whip it?

Phew, glad we cleared that fence, Keith!
That’ll teach us to go into a field of bullshit…black and white, too!
Have you still got the baton?
Y’know, the one Mum and Dad passed over.
Clinging on for grim death, here.

    Springboarding: A Torture-Free Alternative

An informal, open discussion minus the peer pressure.

It is a bit of a rush, isn’t it? Posting a comment to a group of strangers.

“We mean you no harm. Just tell us the truth, and our words will spring into action.”

The truth is, it’s okay to talk back. Never mind what your parents said.

Talk front, and do it today. Speak for yourself, friend! UT

Our spirits may only move on the water,

but we make quite a splash

      when our thoughts go underground.

A springboard is where you stand
take a deep breathe or two
gather your wits before the altar
      prepare to sacrifice your limbs
(only those who fell for this)
      call for a matchmaker
pray to God for a spark
hope like hell it don’t rain
      notice you’ve quit breathing again
      gaze into upcoming moments
see it through to the finish
      yes! we’ve been here before
      confidence mounts to rival hbp
      adrenalin bequeaths a killer rush
      breathe, baby, breathe
      and a one, and a two, and a three…

With conversations on my mind, I step outside the back door.
With their own version of Morse code, two woodpecker’s seem to be
greeting each other and eating breakfast at the same time. The robins
have arrived in full swing, singing their ol’ familiar song with nary a pause.
The female cardinal’s sweet little chirps chime in quietly, but distinctly.
The male’s continue their battle cry, not yet being in the mood for romance.
The squirrels are certainly frisky, playing tag from tree to pole to tree
and on down the wire, as my cat watches jealously, but in a nonchalant way.

A delightfully strange bird came to my garden this morning.
      We exchanged greetings, and
After a while I asked her
      “Who are you?”

She told me that Eostre, the lunar goddess,
who gave her name to Easter and the female hormone estrogen,
had found her injured and laying on the ground one winter.

To save her life, Eostra transformed her into a hare.
But the transformation was not a complete one.
The bird took the appearance of a hare but retained the
      ability to lay eggs……

Eostre’s feast day is held on the full moon following the
vernal equinox (which just happens to coincide with Easter)
So the hare decorates these eggs and leaves them as
      gifts for Eostre…….

Now you know the rest of the story 😀
